We characterize regulatory mechanisms in biological and non-biological catalysts with atomic resolution.
Myriad chemical and biochemical processes proceed through states that defy characterization by conventional atomic-resolution structural methods. The invisibility of these states can arise from their transient nature, low equilibrium population, large molecular weight, and/or heterogeneity. In the Venditti, lab we develop and apply NMR and computational methods for structural and functional characterization of invisible states in a variety of small-molecules and macromolecular systems.
