Brett VanVeller
Position
- Associate Professor
Department
- Chemistry
We develop new methods to access unexplored molecular structures for medicinal and material applications.
Education
- B.Sc. McMaster University, 2006
- Ph.D. MIT, 2011
The VanVeller Group aims to develop tools to interrogate, understand and manipulate the interactions that occur between biomolecules. Synthetic chemistry and the development of new methods underpin all aspects of our research, and we apply the principles of chemistry towards the precise molecular-level design and engineering of these systems. Students and postdoctoral researchers experience a diverse range of topics and techniques, including organic and bioorganic chemistry, synthesis, protein chemistry, and macromolecular science.
