Ph.D. Candidate Shashini De Silva Honored with 2026 CACA Student Excellence Award

Congratulations to Shashini De Silva, Ph.D. candidate, on receiving the 2026 Chinese American Chromatography Association (CACA) StuShashini De Silva presenting her research at the awards symposiumdent Excellence Award!

This prestigious award recognizes outstanding graduate students whose innovative research has made excellent contributions to the advancement of separation science and its wide-ranging applications. Shashini conducts her doctoral research in the group of Professor Jared L. Anderson, where she focuses on the development of bioanalytical workflows for nucleic acid extraction, stabilization, and analysis. Her work advances bioanalytical and separation science approaches for challenging biological samples, with applications in oligonucleotide, DNA, and RNA research. As part of this recognition, Shashini was invited to present her research at the CACA Student Excellence and Young Investigator Awards Symposium at Pittcon 2026 in San Antonio, Texas.
