Bio: Jerry M. Parks is Group Leader for Molecular Biophysics in the Biosciences Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. His research combines computational chemistry, biophysics, and bioinformatics to understand the structure, function, and mechanisms of proteins and enzymes that are central to environmental and human health. 

Dr. Parks earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Duke University and has made significant contributions to fields ranging from microbial mercury methylation to antiviral drug discovery and protein structure prediction. His work leverages advanced computational methods and high-performance computing to address fundamental questions in biology and chemistry.
