Jesudoss Kingston,
lecturer, received his B.S. and M.S. from The
American College, Madurai, Tamilnadu, India (1988-1993) and Ph.D. in
organosilicon chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras,
Chennai, India in 1999. He spent two year as a postdoctoral fellow at
the Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel under the guidance of
Prof. Daniel Kost focusing mainly on the stereodynamics and reactivity
of penta- and hexa-coordinated organosilicon compounds. Following
another two years of postdoctoral work at the University of Kentucky
with Prof. Folami Ladipo in the area of well-defined low-valent
organotitanium compounds, he accepted the postdoctoral fellowship from
Iowa State University to work in the research group of Prof. John G.
Verkade, the University Professor at the chemistry department where he
developed the chemistry of proazaphosphatranes and their novel ionic
derivatives for catalyzing organic transformations. Dr. Kingston has
joined the Department of Chemistry as a lecturer since Fall 2007. His
professional memberships includes American Chemical Society and
