Gordon J. Miller, professor of chemistry received his B.S.
from the University of Rochester in 1982 and his Ph.D. from the
University of Chicago in 1986. Following postdoctoral work at the
Max-Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart,
Germany, he joined the faculty at Iowa State in 1990. His group's
research efforts focus on experimental and theoretical solid state
chemistry, with a specific emphasis on structure-property
relationships in metal-rich compounds. He has received the Exxon
Faculty Fellowship in Solid State Chemistry, and serves on the
Editorial Advisory Boards for Inorganic Chemistry, Journal of Solid
State Chemistry, and Zeitschrift fuer Anorganische und Allgemeine
Chemie.
