Andreja Bakac, adjunct professor, received her B.S. from the University of Zagreb and her Ph.D. also from the University of Zagreb in 1976. Following postdoctoral work at Iowa State University with Prof. Jim Espenson, she joined the staff of the Ames Laboratory as a scientist where she currently is a Senior Scientist. Dr. Bakac currently serves on the editorial board of the following science publications, Inorganic Chemistry, Inorganic Reaction Mechanisms, and Dalton Transactions. She is a member of the American Chemical Society, American Association for the Advancement of Science, Sigma Xi, and the Iowa Academy of Science.
