Traveling to Ames via Bus

Ames has a nice bus depot. The "Greyhound Bus Lines" depot is located at 836 North 2nd Street, Ames, IA 50010 (515) 232-2404. There is a city bus (Cy-Ride call 292-1100 or www.cyride.com or cyride@cyride.com) ) stop 1 1/2 block from the bus depot on Lincoln Way. Ames has a two or three rental car establishments. Ames also has a call-up taxi service, Ames Taxi 232-1343, that is available most days and nights , but has limited service during the planting or harvest season. The bus deport is about a mile from the Maple-Willow-Larch dorms and Scheman conference building (see map below). The bus depot is about two miles from the Frederiksen Court Apartments.
