If you plan on staying off-campus, please be sure to make your reservations early because July 16, 17, 18th in 2004 is the 18thBCCE and Iowa Games in Ames. There will be 14,000 extra people in Ames that weekend. All motel rooms in Ames will be booked! The Hotel at Gateway Center is the official 18th BCCE hotel headquarters.

There are three areas for motels in Ames: Gateway, Southeast (I-35 & US 30), and Northeast (I-35 and 13th Street). The 18th BCCE will supply morning, late afternoon, and evening bus shuttle service to the Gateway area motels (Hotel at Gateway, Comfort Inn & Suites and Baymont Inn & Suites) only. It is a long walk (25-30 minutes) to the Southeast end of campus and the Scheman Building from the motels and hotel in the Gateway area. It is too far to walk to campus from the motels in the other areas.
