| Exhibitors are an important part of the Biennial Conference on Chemical Education. We invite you to have a booth at the 18th BCCE. The 18th BCCE will be held July 18 - July 22, 2004 at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa. The exhibits will be located in the Scheman Continuing Education Building on the east edge of the ISU campus. The 18th BCCE Registration Desk and about 60% of the 18th BCCE sessions will take place in the Scheman Building. The Exhibitors will be right up-close and personal with the BCCE participants. Because of this, we will work with our Exhibitors on security issues. Please note that there are three levels in the Scheman Building. The ground floor in Scheman is called the "Ground Floor". The floor on the second level is called the "First Floor". The floor on the third level is called the "Second Floor". This is the way it is done in Canada. There is ample free parking in the lots north and south of the Scheman Building. We are pleased to announce that Kent Peterson, Editor, McGraw-Hill Companies has agreed to serve on the 18th BCCE committee. Kent will represent the exhibitors. We can provide space for 74 booths for exhibitors. A special offer of one 8' X 10' booth space and one 1/2 page ad in the 18th BCCE program book for $850 is available to first 50 exhibitors who register a booth. The regular fee for each 8' X 10' space is $700. The exhibit site is located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Scheman Continuing Education Building. There is an atrium in the Scheman Building and most the booths will be located around the atrium of each floor. Beverages and refreshments for exhibitors and conference participants will be available on each floor. There will be 45 booths located on the 1st Floor. Twenty-four booths will be located in the 1st Floor Lobby. Fourteen booths will be located in the "Stage Door Lounge 190" area. There will be 7 booths located in the "Lounge 182" area. There will be 29 booths located on the 2nd Floor Lobby. Iowa State University and the 18th BCCE will provide each booth with a basic set of materials: maroon and white drappery and side bunting, a 6' long table, two chairs and a waste paper basket. Exhibitors needing an extra table will be charged $30. High-speed internet connections in the Exhibit area to 38 booths are avaialbe for a $75 fee. Exhibitors requesting a local access phone line in their booth area will be charged $40. Exhibitors will provide a sketch of how they want their booth tables positioned. Requests to locate booths next to specific companies will be accommodated, if possible. See the contract form below for additional information. Although your company's (or institution's) name will be listed in the Program Book, we encourage you to advertise in the Program Book for greater exposure. Page dimensions are 8.5" x 11" with a 0.5" border. The fees are $150 for a quarter-page ad, $275 per half-page ad, or $400 per full-page ad. The Hotel at Gateway (515-292-8600) is the official 18th BCCE Hotel Headquarters. Exhibitors are encouraged to make reservations for rooms well in advance of the 18th BCCE.
