Due Dates for Submission of Events, Workshops, Symposia, Abstracts, Registration, etc. at the 18th BCCE | |

As of Friday, February 20, 2004 over 600 abstracts have been submitted to the 18th BCCE. The 18th BCCE committee sends a thank you to everone who has submitted an abstract and plans to attend the 18th BCCE. The deadline for submitting abstracts has passed. Anyone wanting to submit an abstract at this point will have to contact the 18th BCCE program chairs, MarkFreilich and Bill Harwood. Between February 16th and February 28th, symposium organizers are aligning the abstracts submitted to their symposium. Mark and Bill are putting the program together, March 3-6, 2004. |

November 4, 2003 "Call for Papers and Workshops" mailed and on-line submission of abstracts opens. November 17, 2003 Proposals for Symposia from Organizers Due. December 1, 2003 Proposals for Workshops Due. December 1, 2003 Off-campus housing (motels) reservations due. **14,000 extra people in Ames, IA during the 18th BCCE weekend due to Iowa Games Summer Sports Festival. If you are plannnig on staying off-campus you are advised to make your reservations ASAP. January 26, 2004. All invited abstracts for papers to be presented in symposia are due to symposium organizers. Abstracts are to be submitted online via the BCCE website. Symposia organzers are reviewing the abstracts that have been submitted to their symposium. In the cases for symposia that have received an excessive number of abstracts, the symposia organizers must decide which abstracts will be presented at their symposium. The criteria for selection involves three factors: appropriate content for the symposium, quality of the abstract, date & time the abstract was submitted.We encourage chemical educators to present their work at the 18th BCCE. The 18th BCCE program committee will make every attempt to ensure your presentation has an appropriate forum. February 16, 2004 All abstracts for contributed papers to a listed symposium, general papers and posters are due on-line via the 18th BCCE web site. March 5, 2004 Contracts from Exhibitors Due (Due in Ames, Iowa).
April 1, 2004 (or shortly thereafter) Advance Conference Registration, Campus Housing Request, Campus Dining Request, Workshop Registration, Registration for Tours, Advance Program all available via our conference web site using an on-line access system. June 15, 2004 Advance Registration Closes. July 14-16, 2004. Pre-conference campus housing, pre-conference check-in and pre-conference workshop and committee packages available at the Maple-Willow-Larch Registration Desk. July 17, 2004. Saturday. On-Site Registration Opens at Maple-Willow-Larch Commons Area from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. July 18, 2004. Sunday. On-Site Registration at Maple-Willow-Larch Commons Area from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. July 19, 2004. Monday. On-Site Registration at the First Floor Conference 18th BCCE Registration Desk at the Scheman Building. 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. July 20, 2004. Tuesday.
