The 18th BCCE will provide a limited campus bus shuttle system to help participants travel to and from the various 18th BCCE sites.

On-Campus Bus Shuttles

Iowa State University has a large campus. It is a 15-18 minute walk from the Scheman Building, site of the symposia sessions, to Gilman Hall, site of the workshops. It is a 15-18 minute walk from Frederiksen Court to the Scheman Building. It is a 6-8 minute walk from Frederiksen Court to Gilman Hall. The 18th BCCE will have a campus shuttle bus system operating. The shuttle route will connect the Scheman Building (and CY Stephens Auditorium), Maple-Willow-Larch Dorm and Dining Hall, Frederiksen Court, and Gilman Hall. There will be morning, afternoon and evening shuttle bus service. There will be a second bus shuttle route operating from the Hotel at Gateway Center, Baymont Inn, and Comfort Suites to C.Y. Stephens Auditorium/Scheman Building/Hilton Coliseum and return. You must show your conference badge to the bus driver to receive a ride.The shuttle schedule will be posted in the program book and in the "Daily Corn and Soybean Report". The shuttle bus service starts Sunday, July 18 at 6:00 AM and ends Thursday, July 22 at 2:00 PM. Click-here for a map of the 18th BCCE campus bus shuttle route.

The 18th BCCE shuttle buses will run frequently between 6:30 am -9:30 am, 11:00 am - 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm. less frequently between 9:30 am - 11:00 am, 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm, and 5:00 pm - 9:30 pm. The buses will not run between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am. The On-Campus 18th BCCE shuttle system starts 6:00 am on Sunday July 18, 2004 and ends at 2:00 pm on Thursday July 22, 2004. Cy-Ride buses will continute to operate on their summer schedule.

All buses are handicapped accessible or a handicapped accessible van will be provided.

You need to be a registered participant or an exhibitor at the 18th BCCE and show your 18th BCCE Conference Badge to receive free transportation on an 18th BCCE on-campus shuttle bus or on Cy-Ride.

Cy-Ride. Cy-Ride. 18th BCCE participants have complimentary bus transportation service on the blue and orange Cy-Ride campus-routes. The blue and orange routes serve the buildings that we are using for the 18th BCCE. Your conference badge will also allow you complimentary bus transportation service on all Cy-Ride city-wide bus routes starting Saturday, July 17, 2004 at noon and ending at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday July 22, 2004. . "Cy" is the name of the Iowa State University athletic mascot, which is a cross between a Cardinal (bird) and a Cyclone (twister). The hybrid is resonance stabilized.

Arrival and on-campus check-in at Maple-Willow-Larch Commons

If you have on-campus housing, when you arrive check-in at the MWL Commons. If you have a room in Maple Hall, Maple Hall is connected to the MWL Commons. If you have a room in Frederiksen Court, there will be a van transportation service available or you may use the 18th BCCE on-campus shuttle. If you arrive after the 18th BCCE shuttle service ends, there will be a van service available to transport you and your luggage to Frederiksen Court. This assumes you are a registered participant with the 18th BCCE.
